UDDER

The outfeeder is designed for automatic emptying of circular silos with a flat bottom.

The type NFU is used for comminuted material with a maximum particle size of 13x13x13 mm that must NOT contain foreign matter. The material must not be corrosive and the moisture content of the material must not exceed 35% of the total weight.

The NFU type outfeeder consists of a heavy-duty auger which is connected at one end to a drive station. The outfeeder is placed in the middle of the silo and the auger rotates on its own axis while slowly moving in a horizontal path around the silo. The outfeeder includes an NFU-HD heavy duty gearbox that controls the rotation of the auger and is driven by an electric motor. The circular movement is controlled by a separate geared motor via a toothed ring.

In the fastening plate of the outfeeder there is an insertion hatch.

The auger’s circular movement around the silo is influenced by a constant torque, which at the same time ensures a uniform emptying of the silo and minimizes the risk of bridging.

The auger pulls the material towards the center of the silo and it is then discharged for further transportation.

The NFU 800 is a “heavy duty” version built according to the same principles as the standard NFU outfits. NFU 800 is normally used for feeding round silos with comminuted material. The maximum grain size of the material must be

30x30x10 mm and the humidity must not exceed 35 % of the total weight. The material must not be corrosive or contain foreign matter.

The NFU 800 is a very powerful and robust feeder that can be used for larger silos and relatively compact materials. The maximum allowable silo size (diameter and height) depends on the characteristics of the material in question. As a guideline, the maximum silo size for dry sawdust is 7.5 meters in diameter and 14 meters in height.

Outworms type NFU consist of two powerful augers. One auger is full length and reaches out to the silo wall. The second snail is relatively short. The outfeeder is placed in the middle of the silo and the augers rotate on their axis while slowly moving in a horizontal circular path around the silo.

The outfeeder includes a heavy duty gearbox on which the augers are mounted (see tab KPM 120/200/200/200HD gear). The gearbox is driven by an electric motor and the horizontal circular movement in the silo is controlled by two separate geared motors via a gear rim.

The outrigger is made of heavy-duty sheet steel and is coated with a durable two-component lacquer. In the fastening plate of the outfeeder there is a small inspection hatch.

Push Rod Udder

Weiss also manufactures hydraulic push rod dispensers specially designed for the more demanding fuel types. Such as wet bark. Push rod outfeeders are used in square silos and will be delivered as standard with cement silos with a height of 12 meters and an individual width. Silo in a pit with hydraulic lid for filling directly from trucks. The silo is emptied with the Weiss hydraulic Udmader system.

Handling of fuel from larger silos is usually handled with fully or semi-automatic crane equipment. Weiss offers complete crane systems that are customized to the individual customer’s wishes.
