Haderslev District Heating

Weiss ApS installs a new start-up burner on the existing boiler system for Haderslev District Heating.

Specifications

  • Fuel: Wood chips
  • Boiler size: 2 x 10,5MW, med scrubber 12,5MW
  • Plant type: District heating plant
  • Energy type: Hot water system

Challenge

The wood chip system in Haderslev district heating plant was installed in 2013 and they repeatedly had problems with getting the plant up and running again after a shutdown.

It was unsafe to have to enter the grate and manual-ley ignite the chip and the whole process of getting the boiler back up and running was very time consuming.

Weiss ApS solved the problem by installing a com-plete new oil start-up burner on the existing boiler system.

Scope

  • Hardware delivery.
  • Creating a pass through the water chamber as part of the pressure part, above the grate.
  • Installation of the new start-up burner.
  • Electrical and air installation.
  • Commissioning in collaboration with the customer’s staff.

Advantages

  • Well-documented and proven technology.
  • Reliable, fast and safe start-up of the biomass boiler without having to enter the grate.
  • Easy to service and maintain.
  • Small investment

”We are incredibly satisfied with our new starter burner from Weiss. The whole process, from the first contact to the final installation, has been a positive experience. It is clear that Weiss has a deep under-standing of their products and their customers’ needs.
We received thorough guidence that helped us choose the right product for our system and needs. The installation went smoothly and the burner works even better than we expected. The customer service has been top notch both before, during and after the purchase. We can highly recommend Weiss to others who are considering investing in a starter burner for their boiler.”
